Industrial Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPi)

High-efficiency electrostatic air filtration for industrial machine tools, CNC operations, and manufacturing environments, up to 99% efficiency at source.

Industrial-grade oil mist and fume extraction at source

Industrial Electrostatic Precipitators (ESPi) are high-efficiency air filtration systems designed to remove oil mist, smoke, and metalworking fumes generated by industrial machine tools and manufacturing processes. Using electrostatic charging and collection plates, they deliver up to 99% filtration efficiency down to 0.01 microns, removing harmful airborne contaminants at source, protecting worker health, sensitive machinery, and indoor air quality. Available in compact directly-mounted units for individual machines or large centralised in-duct configurations for full factory floors, the ESPi range scales from small CNC machine shops up to multi-machine production facilities.

How it works

Machine generates oil mist, smoke & fumes
Extract ducting draws contaminants out
ESPi electrostatic unit captures particles at 99% efficiency
Clean air returned to workshop or exhausted

ESPi units work by drawing contaminated air through a high-voltage electrostatic field. Particles are charged, then captured on oppositely charged collection plates. Plates are removable and washable, keeping maintenance costs low.

ESPi systems support compliance with OSHA permissible exposure limits (PELs) for metalworking fluids and airborne particulates (29 CFR 1910.1000). EPA regulations may apply to coolant waste disposal depending on volume and chemistry. Our engineering team can advise on system selection to meet your applicable standards.
